Types of Rudraksha

MUKHI RUDRAKSHA

According to Puranas, there are total 21 types of Rudraksha, known as Mukhi or faceted of the bead. However, only 14 are commonly found and used. Basically, Mukhi is the deep line which is formed on a bead. The number of lines indicates which mukhi the bead is. If a bead has 2 lines, it means it is 2 mukhi, 3 lines them 3 mukhi and so on.

ONE MUKHI RUDRAKSHA

One  Mukhi  Rudraksha Out of these 21 rudraksha, 1 Mukhi Rudraksha is most sacred and the rarest. It represents Lord Shiva itself. Very few fortunate people get a chance to own this Rudraksha. TWO MUKHI RUDRAKSHA

THREE  MUKHI RUDRAKSHA

Five Mukhi Rudraksha This is the most easily available Rudraksha of all. Almost 90% of the total yield of Rudraksha is 5 Mukhi. This bead represents Lord Shiva and is a symbol of peace, health and good luck. The rosaries or maala used for chanting are generally made of 5 Mukhi Rudraksha.

SIX MUKHI RUDRAKSHA

Six Mukhi Rudraksha This bead represents Lord Kartikeya or Skanda. When worn, it blesses the wearer with learning, wisdom and knowledge. As the malefic effects of Venus are controlled by this Rudraksha, it brings harmony and love in married life.

SEVEN MUKHI RUDRAKSHA

EIGHT MUKHI RUDRAKSHA

NINE MUKHI RUDRAKSHA
